The Occupational Medicine Program:

 

• Has a full-time staff that works exclusively with occupational medicine clients, including a medical director who is board certified in occupational medicine. 

• Uses a comprehensive approach to prevent and treat work-related injuries.

• Reduces workers’ compensation costs for businesses.

• Works to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, such as the Federal Occupational Health and Safety Administration.

Screening Services Available:

·         Drug and alcohol testing

·         Blood pressure

·         Tuberculosis

·         Hearing tests

·         Hazardous waste handler and asbestos handler assessments

Other Services:

·         On-the-job injury prevention, assessment and treatment.

·         Flu vaccines

·         Pre and post employment physicals

·         Ergonomic assessments

·         Pharmacy discounts and delivery services from the AMH Pharmacy, which is located in the Mohawk Medical Arts Building on Amsterdam Memorial’s Route 30 campus.
